SCS has managed to gain re-accreditation from the Energy Institute and the National Energy Foundation to the Energy Efficiency Accreditation Scheme. This is a nationally recognised scheme, other central government organisations that participate are (National Archives of Scotland, Lothian & Borders Police, HM Prison Service, HM Revenue & Customs).
Over the last six months (April - September) SCS energy consumption has reduced by nearly 3,700,000 kWh compared to the same period last year, the annual growth in electricity consumption has been reduced from 3% to 0.5%, so well done to you all, I'm sure every one contributed a little bit . The reduction in Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions was just under 400 Tonnes, as CO2 is one of the most important gases that effects climate change anything that can be done to reduce CO2 emissions is good.
